Wedding cake decorations can use up a large proportion of your cake budget. So it could be a time saving, cost-cutting idea to provide your own wedding cake toppers instead of asking a professional to create something expensive and less personal. There are several variables to consider:

• Style of the cake

Once you have decided on the variables, you can get started on the fun part: the decorating! Wedding cakes do not have to have the decorations limited to the top. Flowers and other decorations can be used -- for example, photos, flowers, hearts or animals could be spread over the cake.
