Undoubtedly, one of the most important factors influencing choice of wedding rings is going to be budget. The smart couple will also want to give themselves time to shop around, look at a variety of options in local stores as well as online, and try different styles to see what matches their look and their lifestyle.
For many people, a diamond wedding ring is a traditional choice. By choosing a single stone set in 9ct gold, it’s possible to have a beautiful ring at an affordable price. The thickness or depth of the ring itself will play an important part in deciding what choices you’ll have in setting the stone. And many brides like to have diamonds that match the shape of their engagement ring stones.
A ring set with several stones will likely cost you more, but for a once-in-a-lifetime purchase you may consider it worthwhile. Depending on the width of the ring, it may be possible to set the stones across the ring - or it may be preferable to have them set along its surface.
Diamonds can also be set in platinum, although this is generally a more expensive option. Platinum rings can also be worn without stones set in them, of course. Many couples like platinum for its rarity, purity and hardness.
